What lies under the hood of our smart Daikin heat pump systems?
These innovative technologies represent more than 50 years of focused effort.
Daikin is one of the largest industrial companies in the world. Unlike other corporations in our industry that rank among the world's largest, we don't make microwaves, televisions or cars. For more than 50 years, we've concentrated on making better cooling and heating systems. That focus is why we're the only company that produces every major component of its systems. All the elements of our systems are specifically designed to work together. Daikin heat-pump systems offer exceptional performance in every climate due to our expertise, quality control and numerous technological innovations.
Modern heat pump technology.
Daikin systems use air-source heat pumps that extract thermal energy from the air and "pump" the heat in or out of your home to heat and cool it. All our cooling and heating systems are equipped with Daikin Constant Comfort inverter technology. In addition to maintaining the temperature you desire without stopping and starting, this technology reduces start-up time and energy consumption by one-third.
Heat pump systems are designed to heat and cool by changing which coil is the condenser and which is the evaporator: the cycle can be reversed to either add heat to a space or remove it from the space.

Daikin Constant Comfort Inverter Technology
These new Daikin products provide more comfort because they are equipped with Daikin Constant Comfort inverter technology. Daikin Inverter Ducted systems offer up to 100% heating capacity when the outside temperature is as low as 14°F (systems can operate in heating mode down to 0°F), making them cheaper to run than traditional heat-pump systems in most climates. They are also more compact and quieter than traditional units.
Ease of installation features:
- Reduced installation time with integrated electronic expansion valve and printed circuit boards
- Volt-free float switch integration option
- Corrosion-resistant coating on outdoor unit heat exchanger
- Indoor fan coil unit with up flow or horizontal right configurations
- Heating and Cooling Fan Auto mode can be configured separately
- Dual-voltage 208-230V/1/60 Hz power supply
- Optional electric resistance heat
- Gravity-fed drain connection
The sound level of Daikin system components as compared to common sounds.
Every increase of 10 dB corresponds to a tenfold increase in intensity and a doubling in loudness. Comfortable hearing levels are under 60 dB. Daikin is 52 dB and lower, look at the chart to see where it compares to everyday noise.
