Exceptional SEER and COP ratings.
Cooling systems are given a number indicating their Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) - the higher the number the better their energy efficiency. In North America, the minimum required energy efficiency is SEER 13. Daikin systems are rated as high as SEER 22+.
A heat pump's efficiency when heating is often expressed as its Coefficient of Performance (COP), which is a ratio of heat energy produced to energy supplied. Daikin heat pump systems achieve a COP of up to five, meaning five units of energy are created for every one consumed.
